Edward Jones Joins Returning Labor Finders Sponsorship

Corporate Sponsorship adds to the value!

Scott R Chilcutt, Edmond, OK (January 16, 2011)   Labor Finders returns for 2011and Edward Jones step up to support the Oklahoma Tour!

As many of you know, $25 of each tournament entry fee goes to the prize fund.  When we have supporters from companies in our area we are able to add additional prizes to the tournaments and year end awards without using any of that $25 prize fund.

Tournament Champion Trophies, presented by Labor Finders will once again be part of the normal tournament prizes and will also help with yearend awards.

Joining in our prize awards will be the Flight Champion Awards, presented by Edward Jones, will provide a personalized STAFF BAG for each of the year end FLIGHT CHAMPIONS.  Yes that's right for each of the 11 flights we will have a customized staff bag.

Thank you David McDaniel, Labor Finders and Curt Howard, Edward Jones for making these wonderful contributions to the Oklahoma Tour!

Jimmie Austin Healines 2011 Schedule on the Oklahoma Tour

Jimmie Austin Headlines 2011 Schedule on the Oklahoma Tour

Scott R Chilcutt, Edmond, OK (January 3, 2011) Prices, Venues, Saturday vs. Sunday, Major Events and the National Championship all come in to play when we set out to put together a local tour schedule.

Some of the highlights:

National Championship – Major Events:

This year, like 2010 we have to have our point’s championships awarded by August 31st for National Championship qualification. PGA West, will once again host the National’s, September 18th – 21st the seniors will compete and the mid-ams’ will take the stage from September 24th – 27th.

Major events in the South Central Region, include: The Texas Open @ Horseshoe Bay on March 5th and 6th. May 21st and 22nd we have an event at a venue yet to be announced then on to Texas Masters @ TPC San Antonio on June 4th and 5th with the Texas Shootout @ Redstone Golf Club on August 6th and 7th.

Venues:

While the path of least resistance would be to simply call clubs we played in 2010 and rebook a similar schedule, we’ve never been accused of taking the easy way out. With the wealth of available golf courses in the Oklahoma it’s important that we return to the best venues, add in some selected courses and just stay away from others. Sometimes scheduling gets in the way, just the other day I was set to book a golf course for a date, but with further investigation found they were punching the greens just 5 days before, needless to say that course wasn’t booked this year.

We return to old faithful locations like, Kicking Bird, Patricia Island and Forest Ridge, we’ve added Jimmie Austin, Battle Creek, Clary Fields and going to visit our gang in Talhequah at Cherry Springs. River Oaks and Shawnee Country Club come back into play and we’ve added past year venues like, Emerald Falls and Rose Creek.

We hope everyone had a great last few holiday weeks, look for our Tournament Operations and Membership installments in the coming days and if I can do anything for YOU, please let me know.
